Arcadia Health was established in 2012 by Dr. Robert Chen and Dr. Patricia Williams with a clear mission: to bring subspecialty cardiovascular care to the Memphis community in a setting that prioritizes the patient experience above all else.
After years of practicing within large hospital systems, our founders recognized that patients with heart disease often faced fragmented care, long wait times, and providers who were too rushed to answer their questions. They set out to create a cardiology practice where clinical excellence and genuine compassion go hand in hand.
What began as a two-physician practice has grown into a team of eight board-certified cardiologists serving more than 15,000 patients across the greater Memphis area. Despite our growth, our founding commitment to personalized, unhurried cardiac care remains unchanged. Every patient who walks through our doors is treated as a partner in their own heart health journey.

Interventional Cardiology • Co-Founder
Board-certified in interventional cardiology with over 18 years of experience. Dr. Chen completed his fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and specializes in cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, and complex stent procedures.
Electrophysiology • Co-Founder
Board-certified in clinical cardiac electrophysiology. Dr. Williams completed her EP fellowship at Emory University and specializes in arrhythmia management, catheter ablation, and pacemaker/ICD implantation.
Preventive Cardiology
Board-certified in cardiovascular disease with a focus on preventive cardiology and lipid disorders. Dr. Morton completed his training at the University of Tennessee and is dedicated to helping patients reduce their cardiovascular risk through lifestyle modification and evidence-based therapies.
Cardiac Imaging
Board-certified in cardiovascular disease with advanced certification in echocardiography and cardiac CT/MRI. Dr. Patel completed her imaging fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic and brings expert diagnostic capabilities to our practice.
Our 12,000-square-foot facility on Walnut Grove Road was purpose-designed for comprehensive cardiovascular care. The clinic features a cardiac catheterization lab equipped with the latest fluoroscopic imaging technology, enabling our interventional cardiologists to perform diagnostic and therapeutic catheter-based procedures on-site.
Our diagnostic capabilities include a dedicated nuclear stress testing suite, a full echocardiography lab with 3D imaging, Holter and event monitoring services, and cardiac CT/MRI coordination. Most diagnostic workups can be completed within our facility, minimizing the need for patients to visit multiple locations.
Arcadia Health maintains active affiliations with Baptist Memorial Hospital and Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare, ensuring that when inpatient cardiac care or surgical intervention is needed, our patients experience a seamless transition with full continuity of care. The clinic is fully ADA-accessible with ample free parking on-site.
